

Vickie Katherine Miller (née Ertrachter), born October 30, 1942, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026, in Modesto, California, with her devoted husband of 55 years, Francis “Bud” Miller, at her side.
Vickie was the matriarch of a large and loving family. She is survived by her husband and seven children: Mary Kay Holliday of Santa Rosa, California; David Miller of Bozeman, Montana; Steven Miller of Butte, Montana; Michael Miller of Richmond, California; Debra Tusup-Wheeler of Corona, California; Jeffrey Miller of Modesto, California; and Troy Tusup of Vacaville, California. She is also survived by one brother, Stanley Ertrachter of Madera, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Pauline Ertrachter of Modesto, and one brother, BJ Ertrachter.
In addition to raising her large family, Vickie was a skilled seamstress, designing and creating hundreds of quilts, wall hangings, and handcrafted clothing for her family, friends, and community. She was also a dedicated gardener who took great pride in the rich, abundant garden she tended, generously sharing the bounty of fruits and vegetables she produced.
She was a cherished grandmother to Ashley Winter, Brett Miller, Matthew Tusup, Chris Miller, Jennifer Russell, Bradley Tusup, Hayley Miller, Kelly Miller and Reid Miller, and a proud great-grandmother to Charlie Winter and Marshall Tusup.
A rosary and viewing will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, February 16, at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery and Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, California. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 505 West Granger Avenue, Modesto, California. Burial and reception will follow at Lakewood Funeral Home and Cemetery.
