

After a long battle with a neurocognitive disorder (dementia), it is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Helen Lafleur (née McRae) at la Maison des aînés et alternative in Hull, Quebec at the age of 76. Helen was the daughter of the late Freeman McRae and the late Florence Tinckler and was predeceased by her daughter Shannon.
Retired from the Bank of Canada, this quiet soul and passionate traveller, leaves behind her daughter Ann-Marie (Andre St-Amour), her brother Robert (Penny), her sisters Brenda (the late Ambrose Kluke), Catherine (the late Danny Chamberlain), Susan (Richard Kirkham), her loving grandchildren Jossie (Sébastien), Kirkland, Jacob (Katherine), Cameron, Blakely, her great-grandchildren Kayn and Mateo, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive condolences on Monday, November 17, 2025 from 2-5pm at the Racine, Robert & Gauthier Beauchamp Funeral Home located at 271 St-Joseph Blvd, Gatineau (Hull), Qc, J8Y 3Y1
On Tuesday, November 18, 2025 the family will receive condolences as of 10 am followed by a funeral service at l'Église St-Charles-Borromée located at 367 Av. Martineau, Otter Lake, Qc catholic church at 11am followed by the interment.
Family and friends will be invited for a light lunch at 1pm at the Bethany Hall in Danford Lake following the funeral service and burial.
