He is survived by his children: Jason (Valérie), Andrew, and Kaitlyn (Michail), who were his greatest joy; and by his former wife and good friend, Paulette, mother of his children. He was a proud and loving Grandad, and his grandchildren—Jaydelynn, James, and Fraser—will always remember his gentle ways and big heart.
He leaves in mourning his siblings, Valerie Halling (David) and Alan Edwards (Bobbie), who will miss him dearly, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
John will be remembered for his steady presence, his quiet humour, and the deep love he gave without needing many words. A quiet, kind, and humble man, he lived a life rooted in love for his family and the simple things that brought him joy.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
