October 28, 1955 – May 2, 2025
With heavy hearts but unshaken faith, we announce that Nina Chretien was called home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2025, at the Hull Hospital. Though her earthly journey has ended, her spirit lives on—wrapped in God’s eternal peace and surrounded by the love of all she held dear.
Born on October 28, 1955, Nina lived a life filled with purpose, joy, and compassion. She served her country with integrity through her work with the federal government and touched countless lives with her generosity, warmth, and infectious laughter. Nina was a woman of strength, who walked by faith and met life’s trials with unshakable courage and grace. She fought until the very end, her soul anchored in hope.
Nina deeply loved her family. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Georges Chartrand, her children Tabatha Petrin, Paul Petrin, and Ryan Chretien Chartrand, and her devoted new children, J’aime Blais, Chris Neil and Stacey Johnson.
Also her cherished grandchildren: Natasha,Vennesa, Gabrielle, Emma Lee, Miya, Sarah, and Chloé. Her great-grandchildren—Anthony, Jordan, Jaxson, Molly Jane, Lola, and Aria—will grow up carrying the light of her love in their hearts.
She is also survived by her loving mother Marie Duhamel, her brothers John (Joan), Bill (Mary Lou), Dan (Sandra), Andrew, Michael, and Chris Chretien, and is now reunited in heaven with her brother Mark Chretien. Her faithful dogs Peanut and Chewy were her constant companions and brought her great joy.
Nina’s faith was quiet but unwavering. She believed in the power of love, in the promise of heaven, and in the strength God gave her each day. Her life was a testament to Proverbs 31:25—“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” Though we grieve, we take comfort knowing she is now in the arms of the Lord, restored, whole, and watching over us with joy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 31, 2025 at 12h30 PM at Beauchamp Funeral Home in Aylmer, Quebec. We invite family and friends to join us as we honor Nina’s life, her legacy, and the faith that carried her home.
