Peter Paul Murka

Born on May 7, 1955, Peter was a man whose heart, humour, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew him.

Peter was the most loving husband to Patricia (Patty) Middleton, and a caring, devoted father to Kraig De La Salle (Christine Dunnigan), Jordan Murka, and Mallory Murka (Matt Battig). He was an amazing and proud “Papa” to his cherished grandchildren Cameron, Ryan, Brooklyn, and Madelyn each of whom brought him immense joy.

He is survived by his siblings Nancy, Anne-Marie (Norm), and Michael, and will be fondly remembered as Godfather to Talia Beaudry and as “Uncle Peter” to Michelle, Paul, Alexandra, Troy, and Kendra. Peter shared an unbreakable friendship with his best friend, Art Kealey.

Peter loved his sports especially talking about them and he could happily spend hours sharing stories, stats, and memories with anyone willing to listen. His warmth, kindness, and easy laugh made him a favourite in every room he walked into.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and family that will be carried forward by all who knew him.

In his memory, a Mass will be held on December 4th at 1:00 PM at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, located at 160 Principale St, Gatineau, Quebec, J9H 3M8. The family will receive condolences starting at 12:00 PM.

A celebration of life will take place after the Mass at the Aylmer Legion, located at 59 Bancroft St, Gatineau, QC J9H 4N6, Canada

In lieu of flowers a donation could be made to Mathieu-Froment-Savoie Foundation.
