July 13, 1971, in New Orleans, Louisiana, a baby boy was born to Madeline Pradier-Williams and Andrew Williams. They named him Andrew Williams Jr. He was the only boy of four children. Self appointed head of the house and the protector of the family. He grew up in the St. Thomas Housing Development. He attended Warren Easton High School where he played football and graduated in 1989. Andrew had a passion for football and was a huge football fan.
Andrew often boasts about a girl he met in 1988 on the corner of Tulane and S Tonti. Little did he know that young lady would one day become his wife. After serving in the United States Army as an air traffic controller, Andrew found Tamara again. As fate would have it, that girl from the corner became his wife on November 17, 2001. Together they created a family with their three beautiful children. In 2005, the family moved to Houston. He managed numerous restaurants in the greater Houston area. He loved preparing food and would always say he could make a gourmet meal on a $5.00 budget.
In his leisure time, Andrew enjoyed watching his favorite football teams and Yankee baseball games. More than anything, he enjoyed family time. He had a “sweet spot “for his grand babies. He cherished their weekend sleepovers and dinner dates.
Andrew will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
On March 26, 2023, Andrew transitioned from this life to eternal rest joining his mother Madeline, grandmother Rosalie Francis, and mother-in-law Dorothy Stukes. Leaving to cherish fond memories, his wife Tamara; children Tatayanna Moore (Kirk), Jeremy Andrew Williams (Ashleigh), Tiana Williams, and Sir Cameron Williams; grand children Kaidence, Kirk Jr., Karmelo, Vanessa Rose, and Kalani Grace;
Sisters Terry Shields (Darren), Julie Jones (Leroy), and Stacy James; brother-in-law Tevis Stukes (Ericka); God-sister Nicole Teklemariam; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
