Bob was born on July 29, 1942 in Metropolis, IL to parents Huel and Lorene (Wilcox) Sawyer. They preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his grandson Jason Sawyer Murski and his brother Ben Edward Sawyer.
On July 13, 1963 Robert married the love of his life, Mary Smith in Metropolis IL, she survives. Also surviving are their children; Julie Ann Murski, Robert Loren Sawyer Jr. and grandchildren; Jessica (Brett) Meinecke and Kayla (Cory) Franklin. Great grandchildren; Jeisen, Alice and Hensley also survive him.
Bob worked Commercial Construction mostly painting. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and landscaping his yard. He was an amazing husband, dad and grandpa, always there with encouragement and support. Bob was a very outgoing man who never met a stranger. He is going to be missed but everyone who was lucky enough to know and love him.
