I have so much I feel about Sherry, however, it seems she affected others the same way.  How special she made me feel.  Her laugh.  How accepting she is.  That she never made me feel wronged or ugly.  Her door was always open.  Our intense discussions on religion, politics, the world we live in and life.  She never gave up her beliefs but didn't expect me to accept her's.  Besides, the discussions were interesting and fun (in a warped way!).  
One Thanksgiving she made a point to include my oldest son.  He knew no one and didn't want to go.  It became one of his best memories.  It is the only time he met her and yet he was the one I called to talk to about her passing.  The impact she had on people is her legacy.  
She will never be 'gone'.  She lives in us.  I believe it is my responsibility to be like her.  I only hope I am worthy.

Sherry was such a kind and generous person. She was always full of joy. We are thankful that God blessed us with her and we were able to share such wonderful memories. Sherry loved everyone and she was so easy to love. Her memory will live on in all of us especially at Christmas time.
Christmas was magical at her house. Every inch was decorated and the gifts under the tree were stacked so high. Many of our Christmas decorations were gifts from Sherry and as we decorated this year we thought of her. We have no doubt that she is in Heaven preparing for her most spectacular Christmas yet!

Sherry was an amazing soul.  There weren't many people like her.  She was always smiling and having a great time.  She loved her family deeply.  She will be forever missed by our family.

Sherry was a wonderful woman.  She always made me feel special and loved.  I will never the first time I traveled to her house and she went so far as to warm up the towels for us!  She had a great heart and lovingly opened her home and heart to all.  She was a great mother to my brother, Lonn, and always treated me very well as well.  She will be missed, but always remembered for the great person that she was.

My little Sherry Berry, you were the first person I met when I opened my shop in Old Town Spring 14 years ago.  I was blessed to have known such a wonderful neighbor & friend.  The first two years I was there and we went to DMC, (Dallas Market Center), you just about killed me. How little I knew as an unseasoned merchant & what I was in for; up @ 6 a.m. & off to the market for a treacherous day of walking, up stairs, down stairs, over to cash & carry, back to market & over to the market where they sold mostly Texas themed items.  AND, we did this for 3 days!  Oh my heavens, I thought I would need a wheel chair & EMS to administer CPR by days end. The irony here is that I was younger than you!  You were like the energizer bunny....you just kept on going & going when I was ready to collapse.  When I sighed from exhaustion, all I could see is the radiant smile on your face & hear your infectious laugh saying "come on my little friend, we have a long way to go"!  All I could say, is "your kidding, right"?  I think my arms ended up 4 inches longer from carrying all the catalogs we collected.  And, my feet have never been the same since!  But, I still loved you even though you tortured me with the DMC experience.  I know now why I no longer attend DMC.  Seriously, I loved you & your family.  I will miss you dearly my little Sherry Berry.  Three thoughts for the family & friends left behind; prayers for strength, hope and courage to carry us all through!

Most sincere condolences for your loss from the Vaernet family. We met Sherry on our moving day when we first came to Texas. We were very lucky to have her as our neighbor, and we became very close friends ever since. Our kids Lonn and AJ were buddies and for a long time we were like a great big family. AJ always said Sherry was like a second mother to him, and she really was. We will miss her terribly, she will be forever in our hearts. Our prayers and thoughts are with you in this difficult times.   No words can describe the impact Sherry had on my life and I know everyone else's. Her loss was so sudden which makes it 10 times harder. She was the most joyful and loving person I have ever known. I will never forget the first time I met her. She was in an elf costume, topped with a pointy hat and shoes with gold glitter all over her. Totally opposite of my reserved dad, they say opposites attract. Then she laughed her wonderfully contagious laugh, she had my heart from that day on. Sherry had a love for life like no other. You could not help but be happy around her. She had a way of making each person feel loved and special in their own way. Sherry brought my dad's side of the family together again.  We have Christmas together every year now because of Sherry's love for family. We have gotten to know and love each other again. I am staying with my dad through this difficult time at their house. Sherry's wonderfulness is everywhere. My dad says she was his Rock. I think she was everyone's. As I look around her home, it's sad. It will never be even close to what it was when she was here but she would want us to carry on tradition and happiness. She would want us to continue Christmas and fun times.  I try not to be selfish, thinking of my pain and sorrow, rather focusing on her happiness in heaven. I am thankful she is with her Savior, out of pain. It's comforting to know that I will see her again!

Sherry was more like a sister than a niece.  I was 12 when she was born so, in a sense, we grew up together.  We spent a lot of time together until I was married.  Even then she went to New Jersey with us when Steve was a baby.  We had a wonderful time.  I visited her in Houston last year about this time and we spent a lot of time reminiscing.  It was wonderful and I will treasure our times together.  I will miss her a lot.  Aunt Sandy Wakefield (Seattle, WA)

She had the most infectious laugh and it always made one want to laugh with her.a beautiful sole. I know shes laughing and enjoying herself in heaven.

Aunt Sherry had nothing but LOVE in here heart. She made sure everyone was taken care of at all of our Family gatherings, especially the kiddos! She did a wonderful job documenting all of those gatherings as well. Those memories will be with us forever in the photo albums she put together for all of us. She will be greatly missed.
