Arnold Aaron Taylor was born on September 3rd, 1954, to Eunice Bell & Isaac Taylor. Eunice later married Leslie Seamster, and raised Arnold and his siblings, Rosemary, Douglas, Garvin, Janice & Gregory in the Bronx, N.Y. (Parents and Brother Douglas preceded him in death).
Arnold went to School in the Bronx and completed High School at Roosevelt High. After his education, Arnold wanted to follow his love and passion for Music and Entertaining.
Arnold loved life, loved his family, loved to make you laugh. He was the funniest, craziest, jokester in the family. If Arnold came in the room, you were going to have a Good Time. His lifelong friendships with his Best Friends: Gary Tann, Reggie Henderson and Pamela Mitchell can only be praised. Together with Garvin they did everything together. As a teenager he met Russell Patterson from the Famous Singing Group “Black Ivory”. Arnold and Russell formed a lifelong friendship also. Russell was extremely influential in Arnold’s singing career.
In the 70’s, Arnold’s love of music led him to perform in Talent Events all over. He formed a band with a family of musicians called the Kelly’s. They moved to Orlando, Florida in 1973, and together they formed the Singing Group “Stone Luv”. They went on to record several songs, “God Be So Good”, “Get Up & Move”, & “Never Turn Your Back on the One you Love”.
In Florida, Arnold met a beautiful girl, Phyllis Lamar, and together they had his first baby girl Kortney, who he adored. Years later, he met Arzolia and became a proud papa again to two more precious daughters, Mandie and Mica. He made his life in Orlando, Florida with his children who he worshipped. In Orlando he met his neighbor Sherita, she cooked for him, played cards with him, they spent so much time together they became best buddies. She cared for Arnold in so many ways.
Arnold fell ill in 2007 and he struggled for several years. He set out on his journey to Heaven on the evening of August 12th, 2020. Through his trials he never lost his beautiful smile, his stubborn wit, and his crazy sense of humor which will be greatly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his three daughters, Kortney Lamar, Mandie Taylor, & Mica Taylor. His grandchildren; Cameron, Kasey, Nahariyah, Jarris, & Khalil. His sisters Janice & Rosemary, his brothers Garvin & Gregory, brother-in-law Taalamu, Aunt Clara, Echo & Sharon. Best friends Gary Tann, Russell, Reggie, Pam & Sherita.
