

Edward J. Jobs died on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at his residence in Harleysville. He was 87 years of age. Born in Gross-Dembe Poland, he was the son of the late Edward and Ida Jobs. Edward came to the US in 1955 and settled in Philadelphia.
Mr. Jobs retired after 40 years of service as a machinist at Pilling and Company in Philadelphia.
Edward was a member of the Cannstatter Volksfest in Philadelphia and a former member of St. Petri Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed watching television. When Edward was younger, he was a motorcycle enthusiast. He played the accordion and enjoyed polka music and dancing.
Edward was the beloved husband of Emma H. Schmidt Jobs. They were married in 1956. He was the devoted father of Andrew Jobs (Dawn), of Bensalem, Karen Vavra (Andrew), of Schwenksville and Nancy Stablein, of Chalfont. Edward was the loving grandfather of Jennifer Espert, Andrew Paul Jobs, Amanda Simon, Karen Ann Prahler, Steven Vavra and David Vavra; great grandfather of Cameron Prahler and Brielle Espert. He is also survived by his sister Alieja Pietrzak, who resides in Poland and his step-brother, Julius Babecki, who lives in South Carolina.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 9 to 10:30 AM at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. His funeral service will be at 10:30 AM. Edward’s interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park in Bensalem.
