Kathleen Thorne

Kathleen McLoughlin Thorne died on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Willow Ridge Center in Hatboro. She was 87 years of age. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she is the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Jane McLoughlin. Kathleen had been a longtime resident of Northeast Philadelphia.

Mrs. Thorne was a homemaker and loved caring for her family. She was a member of St. Albert the Great Senior Citizen Association.

Kathleen was the beloved wife of Albert Thorne for 49 years before his death in 1995. She was the devoted mother of Caroline Primus (Emilio) of Hudson Oaks, TX and Virginia Ginunas (Vern) of Fullerton, CA. She was the loving grandmother of Kristie Ginunas and Kevin Ginunas. She was the sister of Josephine Greaves, Marina Harris, Rose Tierney, and Bridie MacQuillan, the late May Colvin, Thomas McLoughlin, and James McLoughlin.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, October 25, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Albert the Great Church 212 Welsh Rd., Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Her internment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
