Michael was a long time resident of Northeast Philadelphia, PA for a majority of his life and recently moved to Holland, PA. Michael was born on March 5, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA to parents, Albert and Helen. He graduated from Central High School in 1970 class #229.
He continued his education, graduating from La Salle University with a degree in Education, followed by post-graduate master’s degrees in education from both Temple University and Gwynedd Mercy University. Michael went on to establish a career as a teacher, dean, assistant principal, and house principal, working for the School District of Philadelphia primarily at Martin Luther King High School for over 30 years. He began his career at Gillespie Eliz D Middle School (closed 2011) where he met his wife of 46 years, Mary K. Dillman (Gable).
Following his well-deserved retirement, Michael enjoyed the beach including frequent travel to his Ft. Myers, Florida vacation home or other tropical scenery. Whether on the beach, in the pool, or in a couch recliner, Michael would be seen with a hardback book in his hands deep in a murder mystery twist. If not in Ft. Myers, Michael took advantage of time with his growing number of grandchildren.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Helen Dillman.
Michael is survived by his wife, Mary, sons Jason (Christopher) and Sam (Erica), brothers Keith (Fredda) and Nicholas (Judith), grand-children, niece, and extended family.
