He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Clara (Schumacher) Weinhardt. He is survived by his brother, Paul, and sister, Carol Gola (Marty), as well as by his two daughters, Mary Egan (Alex) and Joanne Goldberg (Michael), and two sons, Robert (Melanie) and Gregory (Michelle). He also has six grandchildren: Angela Alicea (Axel), Sara Cloutier, Alex Hillman (Rebecca Goodwin), Matthew Cloutier (Madison), Renae Cloutier (Logan Shoemaker), and Bryn Weinhardt.
He was devoted to his family; being a husband, father and grandfather was his greatest joy. He loved spending time with his family, taking them for drives, bicycle rides and above all, making them laugh.
Robert was born June 1, 1937, to parents Aloysius Weinhardt and Mary (Gerhardt) Weinhardt and was a long term resident of Philadelphia. He worked for Typo from the age of 15 until he retired. He was proud of his time as a typesetter. In his free time, he had a passion for cars, both driving and watching car races. He enjoyed reading car magazines and learning more about them. He also was handy at repairs and improvements, working on the house and cars with his collection of tools. He enjoyed music and loved many types from Big Band to Rock and Roll. He had fond memories of going to see the Glenn Miller Orchestra in Pottstown as a young man.
Robert was a kind, polite, gentle man with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 12:30 pm Lamb Funeral Home on 101 Byberry Road, Huntington Valley, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Robert Weinhardt’s honor be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
