Simin Hejazi was born in Tehran, Iran on December 22, 1933 to Akhtar Afshartous and Bagher Hejazi. She was a long time resident of Tehran, Iran followed by living in Kansas City, MO, Rolla, MO, State College, PA, and finally in Bloomfiled Hills, MI.
She graduated with a master of science degree in Elector-Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tehran in 1955, being Iran’s first female Elector-Mechanical Engineer.
Simin went on to establish a career as Director of Engineering working for the Tehran Regional Waterboard.
Simin is survived by her two sons Dr. Farhad Adib, and Farshad Adib.
