William George Betzner

William G. Betzner died on Thursday May 4, 2017 at Aria Health Torresdale Campus. He was 74 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William and Ruth Betzner. William lived in Bensalem for the last three years and had previously been a resident of Huntingdon Valley and Philadelphia.

Mr. Betzner was a retired Philadelphia Police Officer. He had served in the Highway Patrol. After his retirements from the force he became the facilities manager at Girard College.

Bill enjoyed spending time at the shore, playing cards and having dinners with family and friends. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.

William was the beloved husband of Janet Fosler Betzner for 52 years. He was the devoted father of David Betzner of Philadelphia and Karen Roth of Merion Park; father in-law of Caroline Betzner. William was the loving grandfather of Katie, Maddie and Matthew Betzner, Sophie and Jonathan Roth. He was the twin brother of David Betzner and brother of the late Judith Kolmetzky.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 9 to 11 AM at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA. His service will be at 11 AM. The interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
