Barbara Sue Clark, 71, of Huntington passed away on the morning of Sunday May 5, 2024 at Heritage Point of Warren. Barb graduated from Morton Senior High in 1970 in Hammond Indiana. She was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church, where she had a calling for several years of teaching the young women of the church. Throughout her life Barb worked several jobs. Starting as a homemaker for her children as well as providing daycare for many others. She had worked at Noble Roman's Pizza in Huntington prior to its closing. She spent several years operating her cleaning business that serviced many companies and families of Huntington. She then worked for the Lassus Handy Dandy in Roanoke for 20 years prior to retiring. During her retirement she helped part time in the office at C and c auto body. Barbara was born on June 9, 1952 in Lafayette, IN, a daughter of the late David F. Dawson and Ida M Keplinger. Survivors include: a daughter: Candace (Chad) Pearson of Huntington and a son: Michael Ott II of Huntington. Two step sons: Daniel K. Ott of Louisiana, and Dirk C. Ott of Louisiana; a stepdaughter: Dawn (Ken) Chapin of Texas; five sisters: Karen Allen of Indiana, Ramona (George) Pera of Michigan, Lois (Dan Brown) of Indiana, Janet (Rick) Verellen of Indiana, and Becky Schwartz of Florida; a brother: David (Sherry) Dawson of Georgia;12 grandchildren: Tristan Ott, Rhett Long, Austin Ott, Haylea Ott, Gavin Ott, Payton Ott, Dylan Ott, Morgan Ott, Koletin Ott, Ethan Chapin, Makayla Ott, Macey Long; two great grandchildren; Theodore Long and Hadley Rittenhouse; and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents A visitation will be held on Wednesday May 15 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, Huntington IN 46750. A memorial service will be held on Thursday May 16 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 1190 W. 500 N. Huntington IN 46750. Interment will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made out to Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Huntington or the Huntington North Choir in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
