David A. Hosler, 71 of Huntington, passed away Monday morning, May 13, 2024 at his home in Huntington. David had worked for over 30 years at the Huntington County Highway Department, servicing Polk Township. He was a 1971 graduate of Huntington North High School and later served his country in the U.S. Air Force. David enjoyed woodworking, golfing in his younger years, and fishing. He was member of the Moose Lodge 837 in Huntington. David was born on November 13, 1952 in Huntington a son of the late John Deloss and Ressie Juanita (Cleland) Hosler. He was united in marriage to LaVon M. Harmon on May 12, 1984 in Roanoke. They just celebrated 40 years of marriage. Survivors include - His wife: LaVon Hosler; two sons: Ryan (Kriston) Hosler of Huntington and Jim (Amanda) Asher of Warren; a daughter: Vanessa (Bryan) Fields of Greenwood, IN; eight grandchildren: Amanda (Ryan) Miller, Alex Hosler, Grace Asher, Aidan Hosler, Ashton Hosler, Aric Hosler, Brayden Fields and Mallory Fields; a brother: Roger (Wanda) Hosler of Huntington. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Dennis Hosler and a sister: Jane Leist. There will be no public visitation or services at this time. Interment will take place at the Marion National Cemetery at a later date.
