Ed Hacker, 77 of Huntington passed away on March 21, 2022 at his residence. Ed was a 1962 graduate of Huntington Township High School. He worked at GE for 34 years and he worked for the Huntington County Community School Corporation for 19 years. Ed loved to mow and take care of the flower garden. He enjoyed fishing, John Deer and Chevy trucks.
Ed was born on December 1, 1944 in Huntington, the son of the late Wallace and Clara (Bair) Hacker.
He was united in marriage to Sue A. Holmes on June 18, 1964 in Huntington.
Survivors include his wife: Sue Hacker of Huntington; a son: DeWayne (Sandy) Hacker of Forest Lake, MN; a daughter: Stacie (Cedrick Tinker) Hacker of Huntington; four brothers; three sisters; four grandchildren: Lauren Gray, Lucas Johnson, Larissa Johnson, Shelby Hacker and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Lori Ann Hacker - Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 10:30 am at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Interment will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Huntington County.
