Ervin F. Yoder, 71 of Huntington passed away on November 18, 2021 at Ashton Creek Health and Rehabilitation in Fort Wayne. Ervin worked as a stock worker at Kmart in Fort Wayne for 19 years. He attended College Park United Brethren Church in Huntington and was active in their Sunday school. Ervin enjoyed visiting with the “early morning Huntington McDonalds bunch” almost every morning. He was an avid walker and enjoyed traveling all over Huntington on foot.
Ervin was born on July 12, 1950 in Fort Wayne, the son of the late Ervin and Mildred Margaret (Miller) Yoder.
Survivors include a sister: Shirley Ignace of Fort Wayne, IN; Nephew: Rico (Teresa) Ignace of Johnson City, TN; great nephews: Caleb, Joshua, Joe (Danielle), Simeon, and Lucas Ignace; great niece: Abby Ignace; nephew: Demron Ignace of Fort Wayne, IN; niece: Darlene (Phil) Burkett of Cass City, MI; great nephew: Jeremy (Jessica) Burkett of Maryland; great niece: Carissa Burkett of Oregon; sister-in-law: Roberta Martin of Spokane, WA; niece: Anne Martin-Bradford of Spokane, WA and niece: Janel Martin of Colorado.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. We will be following the CDC’s and Indiana’s guidelines.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 following the visitation at 11:00 am at Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. Service will be live streamed via Myers Funeral Home Facebook page.
Interment will be at the Highland Park Cemetery in Fort Wayne at a later date.
