Everett C. Roberts

Everett C. Roberts, 88 of Warren and formerly of Huntington passed away at 4:50 am on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Heritage Pointe. He was a 1942 graduate of Clear Creek High School. He had worked at Wabash Magnetics in shipping and receiving for nearly 40 years, retiring in 1991. After his retirement he was a driver for Niswanders and Sunshine Auto Sales. He was an army veteran serving in the Golden Acorn 87th Division. He was a member of the VFW Post 2689.

He was born on December 17, 1923 in Huntington County, a son of Clyde and Grace (Beal) Roberts.

He was united in marriage to Jacqueline E. Haneline on September 5, 1948 in Huntington. She preceded him in death on January 7, 1994.

Survivors include two daughters: Pamela (Marc) Fowler of Huntington; Rebecca Parrington of Denver, CO; two sons: Rick Roberts of Louisville, KY; Steven (Lora) Roberts of Huntington; two sisters: Opal Poe of Huntington; Jane (Tom) Carroll of North Webster; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth Roberts and William Roberts.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 4:00 pm following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Raymond Scribner officiating.

Interment will be at a later date at the Star of Hope Cemetery.
