Henry "Hank" Lahr Jr.

Henry “Hank” Lahr, 75 of Huntington passed away at 2:44 pm on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital. Hank was a 1957 graduate of Huntington Township High School. He worked at Zollner-Pistons in Fort Wayne for 10 years and owned and operated J&L Sawmill for 10 years. He retired from Manchester Tool & Die.

Hank was born on March 10, 1938 in Huntington, a son of Henry M. and Elizabeth Mae (Warfel) Lahr.

He was united in marriage to Rebecca J. Phillips on May 19, 1957 in Huntington. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include a son: Vince M. Lahr of Huntington; two daughters: Rachelle (Rod) Hempel of Maryland; Lisa Baum of Delaware; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Roger and Robert Lahr and a sister: Jaqualine Manley.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11:00 am following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
