Jeffrey W. Davis

Jeffrey W. “Jeff” Davis, 49 of Huntington passed away at 9:54 PM on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Jeff worked the Bendix Corporation in Huntington for 10 years and for the Essex Corporation in Columbia City for 22 years. He was a member of The Awakening Church of Huntington and a member of the Amity Masonic Lodge #483 in Huntington. Jeff enjoyed spending his free time hunting, fishing and bowling.

Jeff was born on March 27, 1962 in Huntington. He was united in marriage to Carol R. Riggle on October 8, 1983 in Huntington. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include his parents, Mike and Janice Davis of Andrews; his son, Tyler F. (Julie) Davis of Fort Wayne; his daughter, Tonya R. Davis of Huntington; two sisters Christine (Stan) Sands and Carrie (Chris) Abbett both of Huntington; two brothers Jay (Pam) Davis of Andrews and Michael (Karri) Davis of Huntington. Jeff was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Alice Davis and his maternal grandparents, John and Freda Butts.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Masonic Services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 6:30 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Jeff Carrell officiating.

A private family graveside service will take place at a later time at the Riverside Cemetery in Andrews.
