Jerome C. Crocker Jr.

Jerome C. “Jerry” Crocker, Jr., 97 of Huntington passed away at 2:50am on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Tipton Place. Jerry was a WWII veteran who served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. He moved to Huntington in 2006 and was formerly from El Cajon, California. He worked as a mechanic in the truck and auto repair field. He practiced the Catholic faith.

Jerry was born on February 5, 1917 in Denton, Texas, a son of Jerome C. and Minnie Leona (Thornton) Crocker, Sr.

He was united in marriage to Annette Matherne in January of 1942 in Breckinridge, Minnesota. She preceded him in death on August 15, 2004.

Survivors include a son: Don (Nonda) Crocker of Huntington; two daughters: Dolores (Dick) Tallmadge of Portland, OR; Wanda (Pete) Liebig of Lakeside, CA; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren and 3 step great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter: Betty LaRue Christie, a brother: Clifford Crocker and a son: Jerome M. Crocker.

There will be no visitation or funeral service.
