John C. Barton

John C. (Clay) Barton, 54 of Huntington passed away at 7:10pm on September 11, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. John worked as a laser operator at Shuttleworth Corporation in Huntington for over 25 years. He was an avid video gamer and he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his granddaughter.

John was born on July 22, 1960 in Huntington, a son of John E. and Roberta (Horrell) Barton.

He was united in marriage to Loretta A. Shenefield on April 23, 1985 in Las Vegas, NV. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include two sons: Nate (Amanda) Prouty of Huntington; Chad Barton of Huntington; three brothers: Dick Barton of Huntington; Mike Barton of Findlay, OH; Rex Barton of Huntington; a sister: Deb Reifeis of Indianapolis and a granddaughter: Aria Prouty.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 2:00 – 7:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 7:00pm following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Richard Bunnell officiating.
