Jon-Kevin “Kevin” White, 51 of Huntington passed from this world on May 4, 2022 He was a generous, compassionate, and hard-working man who was loved by those he encountered. Kevin always endeavored to better himself through a constant pursuit of knowledge, experiencing great joy in finding the answers to the questions of the world. He enjoyed model railroading, raising fish, deep-sea fishing, and having conversations on any topic from mundane to extraordinary. Kevin was able to accomplish much during his time with us. He raised two sons in whom he took great pride, often speaking about them with a smile on his face. He was always an entrepreneur and found success in several different career fields including as an addiction counselor, plant manager, electrician, Chief Financial and Operations Officer, and attorney. Kevin graduated from law school with honors and passing the bar was the accomplishment in which he took the most pride. Those who knew him recently know he has suffered from a list of health issues. As Kevin was not one to shy away from mortality, in the last years of his life he took great strides to impart as much knowledge and wisdom on any who would wish to hear it. While he will be sorely missed, we take solace in the knowledge he is no longer in pain and that he was right with our Lord before his passing.
Kevin was born on February 24, 1971 in Marion, Indiana, the son of Larry C. and Carolyn S. (Goebel) White.
Survivors include two sons: Joshua (Courtney) White of Fort Wayne, Jacob (Erika) White of Indianapolis; a sister: Kelly (Jo) Maloney of Union, KY and a brother: Chris (Heather) White of Oxford, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Traci Hooker.
There will be no public services for Kevin. If you wish to make a tribute to Kevin, the best tribute is to take time and effort to improve yourself. And please, "Make it a great day."
