Keith W. Dafforn

Keith W. Dafforn, 71 of Huntington passed away at 1:41 am on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis. Keith was a graduate of Elmhurst High School and received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Ball State University. He retired from Crestview Middle School after 43 years of teaching. He enjoyed woodworking, craftsmanship, scuba diving, water skiing and snow skiing.

Keith was born on January 18, 1942 in Fort Wayne, the son of Lester and Grace (Carsten) Dafforn.

He was united in marriage to Jan Gschwend on November 2, 1974 at Clear Lake in Fremont. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include a son: Ryan Dafforn of Greenville, SC; two sisters: Rozie (Tom) Dapp of Fort Wayne; Barb (Jim) Minich of North Fort Myers, FL and his step-mother: Mary Dafforn of Bradenton, FL.

He was preceded in death by his father and his mother.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.

Interment will be at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
