Kenneth E. Slagel 70 of Huntington passed away on Sunday May 28, 2023 at Waters of Wabash. Kenneth was a 1971 graudate of Huntington North High School. He worked for the city of Huntington for nearly 25 years. Spending most of his career in the Water Department prior to ending his career with the Parks Department. Kenneth was a charter member of Charity Baptist Church. He was an outdoorsman who loved nature. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting. Most importantly Kenneth loved his family and enjoyed the time he was able to spend with them.
Kenneth was born on August 24, 1952 in Huntington the son of the late Merrill C. and Waneta (Berry) Slagel.
He was united in marriage to Tammy Ward on December 11, 1971 in Andrews. His wife survives
Survivors include his wife: Tammy Slagel of Andrews; a son: Sean (Tara) Slagel of Peru; a daughter: Angela (Scott) DeLucca of Syracuse; a brother: Keith Slagel of Huntington; five grandchildren: Anissa (Lindsey) Forker of Huntington, Adam Cox of Andrews, Audrey DeLucca of Fort Wayne, Lucas Slagel of Peru, and Addysen Slagel of Peru; and one great grandson: Corbin Forker of Huntington.

Visitation will take place on Thursday June 1, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday June 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. immediately following the visitation at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.
Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Andrews
