Luella F. Haines 96, of Huntington passed away at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday August 4, 2018 at Norwood’s Nursing Center in Huntington. Luella worked as a machinist at H.K. Porter for 28 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Luella was born on August 26, 1921 a daughter of Harvey F. and Lottie M. (Overholt) Zook.
She was united in marriage to Robert L. Haines on August 25, 1940 in Hestonn KS. Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include a Son: Duwayne R. Haines of Huntington; three grandchildren: Kim Voght of Andrews, Richard Haines of Huntington, and Cami (Matt) Owens of Huntington, three great grandchildren: Rickena Haines of Wabash, Chet Owens of Wells County, and Molly Haines of Huntington; four great great grandchildren: Ameerah Saunders, Asley Saunders, Raidyn Haines and Colten Owens; one sister: Eloise Hoch of North Manchester.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Opal Reddick, and Evelyn Schmidt; and one brother: Robert Zook
Visitation will be held on Friday August 10, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 7:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, located at 2901 Guilford St. Huntington Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday August 11, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Gene Vickery officiating.
Interment will take place at Shock Cemetery
