Marjorie Jean Richardson

Marjorie Jean Richardson, 96 of Huntington passed away on November 21, 2022 at The Waters of Huntington, formerly Miller’s Merry Manor. Marjorie was a 1944 graduate of Monument City High School. She was a homemaker and farmed alongside her husband, Doyle, for all of their adult lives, engaged in livestock and agriculture. Marjorie was a member of the United Methodist Church and had attended Mt. Etna and Pilcher’s Chapel. She was a wonderful musician and played at church her entire adult life as well as directing the choir. She played the piano, organ and sang. Marjorie was a member of the United Methodist Women, Homemakers Club and was a 4-H leader. She loved gardening, flowers, was a great cook and a wonderful seamstress. She was dedicated to the Lord first and so enjoyed her family.
She was born on November 13, 1926 in Gas City, Indiana, the daughter of Luther and Lucretia (Hawkins) Pulley.
She was united in marriage to S. Doyle Richardson on January 12, 1946 in Huntington. Doyle preceded her in death on July 15, 2005.
Survivors include two daughters: Christine A. (Mike) Schnitz of Huntington, Charlotte S. (Don) Means of Wagoner, OK; two sons: Danny J. Richardson of Huntington, Dennis R. (Julie) Richardson of Huntington; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two granddaughters: Lora Sexton, Leah Richardson; a great grandson: Liam; a sister: Lorene Mefford; three brothers: Jim Pulley, Wilson Pulley and Paul Pulley.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 following visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Interment will be at the Lancaster Cemetery in Huntington County.
Memorial donations can be made out to Mt. Etna Community Life Church or Huntington County 4-H both in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
