Megan Elyse Dvorscek

Megan Elyse Dvorscek, 32, of Huntington passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, after her courageous battle with cancer, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne. Megan was a 2010 graduate of Huntington North High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed going on walks and she enjoyed nature. She loved playing with her nieces and nephews, reading, drawing, and taking care of her fur-babies. Megan and her husband were the property managers where they lived. She also enjoyed storm chasing with Dan. Megan was born on November 8, 1991 in Columbia City, the daughter of Lester and Margaret (Fitzgerald) Smith Jr. Her parents survive. She was united in marriage to Daniel J. Dvorscek on March 2, 2018 in Fort Wayne. Daniel survives. Additional survivors include: two sisters: Tiffany (Tyler Cooley) Smith of Huntington; Alexis Smith of Huntington; three brothers: Terry Smith of Warren, her fraternal twin: Sean Smith of Huntington, Christian Smith of Huntington; maternal grandmother: Catherine Fitzgerald of Huntington; paternal grandmother: Betty Cox of Columbia City and a Goddaughter: Athena Smith. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 9:30 am - 10:30 am with a recitation of the Rosary at 10:30 am at the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 11:00 am following visitation and recitation of the Rosary at the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Tony Steinacker officiating.
