

Sarah Lee Kitt, 86 of rural Huntington died at 12:28 AM on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Heritage Pointe in Warren where she had resided the last 3 months. Mrs. Kitt was a homemaker and a member of the Markle United Methodist Church. She was a 1943 graduate of Huntington High school and a 1945 graduate of Fort Wayne Business School. She was a 4H leader for several years. She was a former member of the Loon Creek Church of the Brethren where she was very active and served as a Sunday School Teacher for several years and was a member of the Thursday Study Club. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Huntington, where she was a 50 year member. She was a 50 year member of the Rockcreek Home Economics Club and was a past president. She was past president of the American Heart Association of Huntington County. She enjoyed growing flowers, canning fruits and vegetables and baking pies.
Mrs. Kitt was born on December 14, 1924 in Huntington a daughter of Fred L. and Pauline (Good) Winter. She was united in marriage to Allen D. Kitt on July 30, 1944 in Huntington. Her husband survives.
Additional Survivors include – three daughters: Sharyn (Jack) Staley of Carmel, Nancy (Gary) Eppard of Yorktown, IN and Lynda (Bill) Buckland of Huntington; A Brother: Edwin (Irene) Winter of Sedona, AZ; Six grandchildren and Eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Gerald O. Moreland officiating.
Interment will take place in the Star of Hope Cemetery in Huntington County.
