William Marshall Mongold Jr.

William Marshall Mongold, Jr., 79 of Huntington passed away at 4:48 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Markle Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was a 1951 graduate of Muncie Central High School. He attended Indiana Business College. He worked at Noll Printing for over 25 years, retiring in 1995. He had also worked at Benham Printing in Marion for 15 years. He had worked for the Heart Association for several years. He was a member and past president of the GCIU Local #411.

He was born on November 13, 1932 in Muncie, a son of William M. and Nancy A. (Collette) Mongold, Sr.

He was united in marriage to Joyce A. Smart on May 12, 1956 in Muncie. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include two sons: William M. Mongold III of Andrews; Mark A. Mongold of Huntington; two sisters: Phyllis Smith of Losantville, IN; Sandy Scott of Scottsdale, AZ and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Dewey Mongold, David Mongold, Orville Mongold and five sisters: Mavoline Richardson, Geraldine Stiddam, Sylvia Ross, Imogene Smith and Ann.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Dianna Teusch officiating.

Interment will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Huntington County.
