Adolphus Thomas Jr was born in Vero Beach, Florida on October 27,1948 to the late Adolphus Thomas Sr and Lillian Broxton Thomas the eldest of Delores Thomas Brown and the late Arthur Lee Thomas. He was raised to believe and love the Lord at Wabasso Church of God. After graduating from Gifford High School he was drafted into the Army to protect, honor, and serve our country in the Vietnam War for approximately 3 years. He moved to Boston after his honorable discharge where he worked for Domino Sugar/ Amstar Corp. He also attained professional training as a diesel mechanic that he chose not to pursue but always strongly believed and encouraged others to build knowledge in a trade which you can always rely when all else failed. After securing a foundation he married Gwendolyn Slaughter for 33 years and began building his legacy. He loved the ocean and fishing which drove him to purchase a home in Mashpee, MA (Cape Cod) in the year 2000 and took pride in this great accomplishment. He loved martial arts (Monkey Style Kung Fu), music, and dancing. He always had a joke to tell with a bright smile that would light up a room. He also loved to speak words of wisdom to his loved ones. He made the best of life with what was taught and given the best he knew how always keeping faith believing in God no matter how tough times got. He would always let anyone know “ I love the Lord, God is real” followed by a story of how it was only the blood that got him through many times in the war. His love encouragement, hard work, guidance, smile, STRONG GENES, and wisdom will never be forgotten. He will forever be loved and missed by a host of friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, one living Aunt Mrs. Pearlie Eldell, grandchildren and his children Otis, Elvin, Jermon, Sheneka, Nathan, Brittney, Therez. Meeting his parents and a host of friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, children, grandchildren at the pearling gates of heaven.
