Albert Walls

Albert Joseph Walls, 82 of Barnstable, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on May 7, 2026. He was born on May 28, 1943, to Francis and Beatrice (Libby) Walls. He was a graduate of Barnstable High School, class of 1962. Upon graduation he joined the Navy and honorably served his country as a Beachmaster, Unit 2, in Little Creek, Virginia from 1962 to 1966 where he met his wife Alice and returned to Barnstable where he raised his family.

Albert worked for AmeriGas for 40 years. He was an avid golfer, hunter and bowler. He was a member of Hyannis Golf Club for several years.

Albert was preceded in death by his brother Franny and sister Linda. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Alice (Richardson) Walls, his 3 children Leslie Weidig, Brian Walls and Amy Walls, and his son-in -law Roger Weidig. He was affectionately known as “Grampy” to his four grandchildren Kory, Amanda, Brady, Allie and great grandson Jacob. He leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Visiting hours will take place at Doane, Beal & Ames, 160 W. Main St., Hyannis, MA 02601 on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 11 am to 1 pm immediately followed by a 1 pm service. Burial with US Navy military honors in Cummaquid Cemetery, Mary Dunn Road in Barnstable.
