

Arlene professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was a dedicated member of Saint Francis Xavier Parish.
Arlene moved to Washington, DC in 1969 and was united in holy matrimony to George Shaw Jr. in June 1972. This union was blessed with one child, George Pena Shaw.
Arlene was a member of St Ignatius Catholic Church in Temple Hills Maryland. As a result of her kind, generous spirit and always-pleasant personality, she was loved by many. She was loved by her coworkers and treasured her job as a receptionist at Washington DC's United Cerebral Palsy where she worked for more than 20 years. She was dedicated to living a Christian life and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. At the age of 71, she peacefully departed this life on August 28, 2020, at George Washington University Hospital in Washington DC. She was preceded in death by her father Louis Pena, and her brothers Bruce, Louis, and Steven Pena.
Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her mother Louise Pena of Hyannis, her son George Pena Shaw of Maryland, her sister Candice Brando of Osterville, her brother John Pena of Hyannis and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
