Catherine Ann Freeman (66) of Cummaquid, MA passed away on April 6, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer. Cathy was born in Boston and raised in Brookline, MA, loving daughter of the late Timothy and Mary Sullivan of Brookline.
Cathy moved to the Cape in 1984. She was the most wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was beautiful and gracious in body and soul. She was a gourmet cook, loved hosting holiday dinners, and was always there for family and friends. Cathy had an inner strength, a witty sense of humor and was a kind and gentle person. She enjoyed travelling but loved the beaches of Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard most of all. Cathy loved all Boston sports teams, but was most content and happy just being with her family and friends, including her beloved Labrador retrievers.
Her daughters and granddaughter were her pride and joy. Cathy is survived by her husband of 41 years, Peter Freeman, daughter Vanessa Weinstein and husband Noah and granddaughter Isabelle Rose Weinstein of Worcester, VT, daughter Rebecca Freeman of Vineyard Haven, MA and brother Timothy Sullivan, Jr. and wife Kimberly of McLeansville, North Carolina. The family would like to thank Dr. Donald Lawrence and the staff at Mass General Cancer Center and Dr. Anne Marie Kelly of Primary Care of Cape Cod for their wonderful care. Services will be private.
