Born in Hyannis and raised in West Yarmouth, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Stillman and Anna Mae (Groch) Toppin. Diane was a beloved, gentle, hard-working, inspirational, and kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of many.
A graduate of Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School in 1981, Diane was well-known by the locals who shopped at the South Yarmouth Stop & Shop. She was hired there in 1996 and retired in 2018 after 21 years of dedicated service.
Diane is survived by her loving sisters Cindy (Tom) Legatowicz of West Yarmouth and Janet (David) Hixon of Sandwich; her nephew Benjamin "Ben" (Jackie) Hixon, their children Rowen, Dawson, and Delaney; and her niece Tess (Cody) Kosinski. Diane also leaves behind her beloved cat Lily.
Diane loved to keep busy. She enjoyed the beach and was very family oriented. After her parents passed, she became very close to her Aunt Jeanette, whom she would visit in Sutton, NH. She enjoyed cookouts and, being born on July 2nd, celebrated several birthdays on July 4th with fireworks, BBQs, cake, and ice cream.
Diane was very active in the Special Olympics. Though she participated in track and field, her passion was bowling. She was a dedicated member of the Sunshine Capers bowling team and thoroughly enjoyed traveling to Boston and Auburn for competitions, where she was awarded many ribbons and trophies.
Visiting hours will take place on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Doane, Beal & Ames, in Hyannis from 2-4 PM, immediately followed by a 4 PM Celebration of Life Service.
