Ellen is survived by her husband of 60 years James P. Ingram, “Pete” and her two sons - J. Andrew Ingram, his wife Wendy Thomas Ingram, and granddaughters, Molly and Nellie; and, John R. Ingram, his partner Diana Walcott and three grandchildren, Sarah, Luke and Will.
Full of positivity, grace, and a zest for life, Ellen loved spending time with friends and family. She was a loving mother to her two boys and cherished time with her grandchildren. Always active, Ellen was a member of the Wellesley Junior Service League and enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, reading, hiking, walks, and the great outdoors. Throughout her life, she enjoyed attending church, especially services at Saint Andrew’s by the Sea in Hyannis Port.
Ellen grew up living in Pittsburgh and Hyannis Port on Cape Cod where she met Pete. She graduated from Graham-Eckes School in Palm Beach, FL and Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH and worked for Bell Atlantic.
Ellen, ‘Mom’ and ‘Gram’, will be dearly missed by her family, friends and loved ones.
A memorial service for both Ellen and Pete will be held at St. Andrew’s by the Sea in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts at 11:00 am on June 8th, 2024.
