

Born in Richmond, Virginia, June 16, 1947, he was the son of the late Robert L Jensen MD & Barbara “Bobbe” Schutte Jensen.
Garye earned his RN Degree from Southern University, Collegedale, TN. He later earned his Master’s Degree from Webster University.
Retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel After a distinguished 24 years of military service, divided into 18 yrs Air Force, 2 yrs Army and 4 yrs of the Reserves.
Garye decided to take on civilian life. Moving to Uncassville, CT and his final resting place, Centerville, MA.
Garye will be deeply missed by his Family & Friends. He leaves behind daughter, Anne Jensen Villano (Sean), and sons, Shawn Jensen, Damion Jensen, David R. Jensen as well as 10 grandchildren. He also leaves behind his 2 sisters: Claudia Guthrie, and Debbe Jensen; sister-in-law, Kathy (Pickowitz) Sullivan (Roger); and brother-in-laws: Anthony Pickowitz and David Pickowitz (Kathy).
Garye is preceded by his beloved wife of 34 years, Marjorie (Pickowitz) Jensen, and his dear son Christopher M. Jensen.
Garye had many interests over the years. Hunting, Fishing, sailing, woodworking, canning, gardening and travel in his RV.
After a devotion to his nursing career, helping others through Volunteerism was close to his heart. That is why Garye asks that, in lieu of flowers a generous donation to: Saint Vincent DePaul Food Pantry, 21 Cross Street, Hyannis, MA 02601.
At the very top of Garye’s list was God and his family. He loved them everyday he walked this earth!
