OBITUARY

Helen Roberta Campo

5 November, 192521 October, 2020

Helen (Elena) Roberta Campo, 94, of Hyannis, went to be with the Lord Wednesday October 21, 2020 from complications of pneumonia.

She was born to the late Domenic Lewis Valinoti Jr. and Vincencia (Jennie) Agnes Castellano, November 5, 1925, in Manhattan New York. She was the second oldest of five children. The late Marie Sannito, Domenic ‘Sonny’ Valinoti, and Joseph ‘Joey’ Valinoti.

Helen married the late Joseph Michael Campo August 21, 1949. She was married 43 years until the time of his death, January 12, 1993.

Helen is survived by her brother Arthur ‘Artie’ Valinoti of New York, several nieces and nephews, only son Paul Michael Campo, daughter in law Linda, only granddaughter Lori (Charles) Ganiear, and two great grandson’s Wesley and Chester Ganiear, all of Massachusetts.

Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother. In her youth she helped her parents’ family business which was a coffee/ sandwich shop in New York City. After her marriage and birth of her son she moved from the city to Long Island New York in the Farmingville area. Helen and her husband left New York and moved to Tucson Arizona in the 1970’s and lived there for 18 years. While living in Arizona she did extensive RV travel throughout the US, for a short time helped her husband with a restaurant called ‘Mindys’ and other various secretarial jobs. After the death of her husband Helen moved to Cape Cod to be with her son and his family. Helen worked at Nauset Inc. also know as Cape Abilities. She was loved by everyone at her workplace until she retired in 2000.

Helen was a beautiful Christian and member of Victory Chapel Church until her death. She was ‘Gram’ to so many and greatly loved by her family, church family, and everyone who knew her. Helen lived with vitality and spirit, she lived a long blessed full life. Her wishes were to be buried at Beechwood Cemetery in Barnstable instead of the original plan of being buried in Arizona. She will be greatly missed, but we are so grateful she has arrived at her final destination, her real home in heaven!

A memorial service will be held at Victory Chapel 320 Kidds Hill Road, Hyannis on November 20th at 5:00 pm. We know Helen is loved by so many, however, we kindly ask that with precautions concerning Covid that you watch the livestream of her memorial on the church website which is www.victorychapel.com. In person memorial is only open for active members of the Victory Chapel Church. Thank you!

God saw you getting tired And a cure is not to be. So he put His arms around You and whispered “Come to me” With tearful eyes we Watched you and saw You pass away. Although We loved you dearly We could not make you stay Golden heart stopped beating Hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts To prove to us He only takes the best
