Born on August 15, 1983, she was a daughter of Dale Cook and the late Mary (Buckland) Cook. Marissa lived in Florida and on Cape Cod for most of her life, until she recently moved to Plymouth. She regularly attended meetings at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses wherever she was living.
Marissa loved listening to music, particularly Madonna. She also enjoyed singing, dancing, and taking pictures of nature. Marissa had a real flair for photography. Above all, she was a beautiful soul who loved people, especially her family. She made us all laugh and cry at her mischievous antics throughout her life.
In addition to her father, Marissa is survived by her two sons, Nathan and Jacob; grandparents Ralph and Jean Cook; three sisters, Brianna McCarron, Danielle Cook, and Hannah Cook; a brother, Dale Cook, Jr.; Aunts and uncles, Ralph and Susan Cook, David and Candace Cook, Craig and Deanette Cook, and Maria Cook; cousins, David Jr., Daniel, Desary, Destiny, and Caleb.
In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Cook.
Family and friends are invited to attend Marissa’s funeral service on Saturday, April 20th at 1:30 p.m. at Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 W. Main St., Hyannis, followed by a gathering at the Elks Lodge on Bearses Way in Hyannis from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
