Dear Shirley & Sons,
So sorry to hear about Mel's passing. He was always so pleasant and nice to talk with. Mel came to our home many times to play pool or bocce with the boys. They would sit around the table and have coffee and talk before they began to play. We all missed Mel when he was unable to attend anymore. The group started out with ten and ended up with only three of them. Dick moved to New Hampshire this year which left only two of them able to play, so that ended the group. You are all in our thoughts and our prayers.

Shirley and the Boy’s, thinking of you all.

Mel was the one who suggested to me that I should be taking my prerequisites before getting into Nursing school. In his words “ time is going by anyway.” He would say that whenever I would bump into him at Stop and Shop in Harwich. He was a trip handing out the samples!

I have often thought about that over the years. I definitely needed the push.

My thoughts are with you all.
Love Kathy

Shirley, Stu, Buddy, & Howie,
My thoughts are with all of you.
Mel was a kind and good person. When I think back to living on Donahue Way, I recall that Mel was ahead of his time with jogging and men's sandals. Both caught on but Mel was way ahead of the curve.
We were fortunate to have Mel and all of you as neighbors.
I hope your memories bring you comfort.
