

Richard Louis Boy, 88, of Hyannis, MA and Boynton Beach, FL passed away after declining health on December 16, 2023 at Boulevard Rehabilitation Center in Boynton Beach. Richard was the devoted husband of Marie Boy for 68 years. She unexpectedly predeceased him in April of this year. He was the son of Dominic and Catherine Boy of East Boston, MA. His deceased sister, Dolores Richards, was of Crown Point, IN. Richard and Marie made their home in the west end of Hyannis for over 55 years and wintered often in Boynton Beach raising two children, Deborah Parker of Lake Worth, Florida and Richard Boy Jr. of The Villages, Florida. In addition to his children, he is survived by his three grandchildren, Brendan and Siobhan Parker and Ashley Jackson as well as one great granddaughter, Morgan Jackson.
Richard retired from the Massachusetts Air National Guard 102nd FIW in 1995 after 43 years of service to his country. He was well known in the Hyannis area as a long-time member of the Town of Barnstable Board of Appeals, Auxiliary Police, and other positions of responsibility in addition to being a loyal member of numerous organizations including Hyannis Elks, VFW, DAV, American Legion, and the Masonic Lodge. Richard most loved his neighbors on Sterling Road and long-time friends at the Ocean Street docks and Hyannis Marine.
Family and friends are invited to join the family at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Thursday December 28, 2023 at 12:45pm for burial services.
