Ann was a resident and homemaker of Lee’s Summit, MO for many years. Ann grew up in Kansas City, MO and graduated from Raytown High School in 1958. She married Bill Cook in 1968 and together they had two children, Wendy and Travis. She had many different interests and hobbies including playing tennis, traveling, shopping, singing in her church choir, playing piano and cooking. Most of all Ann loved creating wonderful pieces of artwork and spending time with her family and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her mother Betty, her father Charles and her husband Bill. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Wendy Calvert and husband, Danial of Blue Springs, MO; son Travis Cook of Kansas City, MO; brother Richard Plaskett of Arizona, sister Pat Cox and husband, Rich of Houston, TX; two granddaughters Lyndsi McCale and husband, Chris of Peculiar, MO, and Courtney Powell and husband, Jimmy of Garden City, MO; five great grandchildren, Connor and Londyn McCale and Lainey, Lyah and Lauryn Powell; and many more family and friends.
Celebration of Life will be 11am, Friday, March 1, 2019 at Woods Chapel United Methodist Church, 4725 NE Lakewood Way, Lee’s Summit, MO 64064. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Heart of American Chapter, 3846 W. 75th St, Prairie Village, KS 66208
