Betty Jane Morris, 89, passed away October 4, 2021, in Independence, Missouri. She left to join her husband of 55 years, Kenneth Ross Morris, who preceded her in death in 2005. Born in Sedalia, Missouri on December 29, 1931 to Carl Albert and Lillie Lee Bohon Spellmeyer, Betty grew up with her beloved sisters, Josephine L. She was a member of Coventry Estates Baptist Church and had worked as a Social Security file clerk. Betty and Ross enjoyed many friendships, helping at the Palmer Senior Center and traveling. Betty always "read-up" and could be counted on to have thoughtful and creative ideas to help her family. Betty's focus was all about her family and she was the ultimate in sharing her love and concern and "Mama-Bear" protection for her family
. Betty leaves a wonderful legacy of love, generosity and example to her children Linda Comer (Mark, deceased), Pamela Hoskins, Barbara Sherberg, and Dean & Julie Morris.
