He was a father of 6, a grandfather of 4, and a friend to many. He was loved beyond measure by the people he knew and most of all by his children.
He married on June 22nd, 1985. To Stella Dowell, who he went on to have 6 children with.
Charles worked as a wallpaper and carpet installer early in his work career and began selling carpet years after. He bounced around from many jobs in the same realm of work. He won many salesmen of the year awards. Great work performance lead him and his family to live in California for a couple years before moving back home to Independence, MO.
Charles' constant positivity and energy were unmatched. His natural ability to make anyone laugh was a talent very few posses. He was a hard worker who genuinely enjoyed being at work. His generosity was witnessed by everyone who ever met him, and especially by his children.
He truly enjoyed the simple things in life. Chatting and joking with friends. Calling and talking to his kids. Playing sports with his kids, taking them to movies, or sporting events, surprising them with McDonald's breakfast or randomly checking them out of school to grab lunch. He enjoyed seeing his 4 grandchildren. Just simply changing their diapers would bring a huge smile to his face. He stayed in touch via facebook with old acquaintances. He cared deeply for everyone he was connected to, and would always be 'that one' someone you could talk to about anything.
He is survived by his mother, brothers, children, nieces, nephews and his grandchildren. The family would like to thank everyone who donated and his place of employment 'GoodFeet' for their overwhelming donation.
