CLARA MAE JOHNSON, 90 Clara Mae Johnson aka Mom, Grandma, Aunt Tootie, 90, of Lee’s Summit MO passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Born December 17, 1923 in Lees Summit, MO, she is predeceased by her parents, Guy Lucas and Mable Gorsuch (nee Cramer), and her late husband of 56 years, Dale Edward Johnson of Lee’s Summit, MO. Clara retired from Bendix Corporation. She is a lifetime member of the IAW-CIO union. Since her retirement she has enjoyed gardening, cooking and visiting with family and friends. Survivors include her two sons, Ronald L. Johnson (Mary) of Raymore, MO and Larry D Johnson (Donna) of Eagle Rock, MO. Clara Mae has four grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Newcomers Funeral Home at 509 S. Noland Road, Independence, MO. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will take place immediately following at Floral Hills East cemetery. After the services, the family will host a lunch at Clara Mae’s home in Lees Summit.
