Daniel Lee Murphy

Daniel Lee Murphy, born on August 30th, 1964 to Everett and Freda Murphy in Independence, Missouri, passed away on April 8, 2025 at St. Luke’s Hospice House surrounded by loved ones after a battle with cancer.

Danny loved bowling and spending time with his family. Danny’s love language was gift-giving, and all of his loved ones have many trinkets from Danny around their homes to remember him by. Danny was extremely hard-working and was most recently a Store Manager for Jack in the Box. Danny will be remembered for his one-of-a-kind sense of humor.

Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents Maurice and Mildred Van Maele, and Everett and Marie Murphy.

Danny is survived by his parents Everett and Freda Murphy, his siblings Everett Murphy (Denise), and Kim Dominick (Brian). He also left behind nieces and nephews who loved their uncle deeply; Cassandra VanNatta (Jimmy), Brittany Anthony (Travis), Andrew Dominick (Samantha), Courtney Hays (Ben), as well as his 5 great-nephews; Christian Hurshman, Tristyn Hurshman, James VanNatta, Kai Hurshman, and Miles Dominick.

The memorial service honoring Danny’s life will take place on Thursday April 24th, 2025 from 5:00-7:00pm at Newcomer’s Noland Road Chapel at 509 S Noland Rd, Independence, MO 64050
