Jeri Ann Couch, age 56, passed away on January 4, 2021. She is survived by her son, Nathan, her parents, Kenneth and Merle Courtney, her brother Damon Courtney, Lindsey (Damon’s wife), and nieces and nephews, Lawana, Conner, Justice, and Faith. Jeri graduated William Chrisman High School in 1983, and went on to earn her Associates of Arts from the University of Kansas City Missouri.
Jeri was an Account Specialist at Hallmark for over 35 years. She loved animals and dedicated much of her time as a volunteer to the Humane Society. She regularly donated blood to local community blood centers, and supported multiple charitable organizations. Jeri was a devout Christian, and a member of the Maywood Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer’s Noland Road Chapel in Independence, Missouri on Friday, January 22nd from 12 to 1 p.m., followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations toward some of Jeri’s preferred charities, including the Humane Society, the Alzheimer’s Association, and American Red Cross.
