Maxine Virginia Lipps

Her visitation is at 11am Tuesday June 21st followed by her memorial service 12pm at Noland Road Chapel, 509 S. Noland Road, Independence Mo.

Maxine grew up during the depression. She was one of nine children. She met the love of her life and married in 1952 and they created an exciting life through the military and travelled abroad. Stanley became a Korean War hero and together they raised seven children.

Maxine devoted her life to her family, building a home in Osceola, Mo. After Stan's death she returned to Independence, Mo.

Maxine is survived by her sisters: Pat Leptien, Barbara Carey & Linda Meyers & many nephews and nieces. And her children, Linda Lipps (Peter Musser): grandson Aaron Haggerty; Mary Player: Granddaughter Sayra Brodie; Wendy (Charles) Guthrie: granddaughters Jennifer Davis & Stefanie Marshall; Dwayne Lipps: grandchildren Ashley Webster, Linnsey Lipps & Garrett Lipps; Laura (Scott) Sussman: granddaughters Rachel Yount, Jessica Sussman & Stacy Sussman; Ron Lipps: granddaughter Taylor Lipps; Leslie (Michael) Moyer: grandchildren Kristin Moyer, Branden Moyer & Justice Moyer.

Also surviving are 15 great grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren.
